Notice: The otherwise uninhabited Checkpoint Mile 101 will open between Thursday Feb 7th in the afternoon and Saturday February 9th by noon, depending on available volunteers, weather and vehicles. We are still looking for at least one more experienced musher (dog lot), an experienced snow machiner (trail emergencies) and a ham radio operator with computer experience (communications) to complete our crew. The checkpoint will be open until Feb 18th or 19th, depending on the progress of YQ participants. While normal YQ checkpoints do not have to stay open for more than 48 hours after the first musher passes, we work voluntarily under our own 'no one left behind' rule. Expect digging cabins out of the snow, long hours, a snow storm or two, an excellent cook crew and a lot of fun in between. Solid cold weather experience and gear is a must ! If interested, please contact us by e-mailing kamper@mosquitonet.com or leaving a message here on Facebook.
Eine Hervorragende Möglichkeit das Y.Q. Hautnah mitzuerleben !
